Heater LED Backlight

The heater controls on the fortwo 450 and Roadster are supposed to be back-lit.
However, so many people don’t realise since they bought the car with the bulb already blown.

You could get a standard replacement bulb and live with the poor and yellowish output of a halogen bulb, or you could fit an LED bulb.

Yes, you could go to eBay and buy a twist fit LED but they don’t have the LEDs facing the right direction so the output is next to nothing once installed. What you need is a side firing LED as seen here.

They are cold white LEDs so it doesn’t affect the colour of the output through the heater overlays.

As with all LED products like this, if it doesn’t work when you fit it, pull it out, spin it 180 degrees and refit it.
